Below, you’ll find a simple outline of our process. We don’t charge for swipes or messages. Instead, we offer a clear, guided structure that supports intentional connection—not digital fatigue.
How It Works
Onboarding & Intake
We start with a thoughtful, in-depth interview to get a full sense of your story, relational style, and long-term hopes.
We then craft your internal profile and begin the process of discerning thoughtful introductions on your behalf.
Guided Introductions
When we identify a potential match, we coordinate up to three dates on your behalf.
During this stage, all communication is facilitated through your matchmaker. Contact details and social media are not exchanged, allowing the connection to develop at a thoughtful pace—free from noise, pressure, or premature intensity.
Match Release
If both people express interest in continuing, the match is formally “released.” Contact information is exchanged, and you step into private dating with the momentum of shared intention.
At this stage, you’ll pause active matchmaking while you explore the connection. If the relationship concludes, you're welcome to return to the pool when ready.

At Common Thread, our process is structured, intentional, and designed to protect your time, clarity, and emotional space. Below is a breakdown of our standard offerings.
All matches are curated (there is no open access to a member pool) and early connections are guided by structure, discernment, and genuine interest.

Includes a 60-minute intake interview, creation of your matchmaking profile, and eligibility for match proposals curated by the matchmaker.
Your onboarding fee is a one-time investment to join our matchmaking process.Most clients are matched within a year, but if you’d like to continue receiving matches beyond 12 months, a small reactivation fee will keep your profile active and refreshed.
This fee is nonrefundable.

$300 (only if both parties want to continue)
After three dates, if both people wish to move forward, this one-time fee unlocks contact information. At this stage, you’ll exit the active matchmaking pool and continue dating privately. -
If a match does not continue, clients are welcome to reenter the matchmaking pool:
Reentry within 90 days of a released match: Complimentary
Reentry after 90 days: $50
A profile update is required if more than 6 months have passed since your last active match
We also offer optional à la carte services for clients seeking personalized guidance. These may include:
Aesthetic or style refinement
First-date preparation
Communication strategy and discernment coaching

What happens during the intake process?

What does the dating process look like once I’m matched?
Once a potential match is identified, your matchmaker will coordinate the first three dates—typically over the course of a few weeks. During this stage, no personal contact information or social media is exchanged. This helps both parties focus on discernment without pressure, distraction, or ambiguity.
Do I pay for each match?
No. You pay a one-time onboarding fee when you join. From there, we propose matches to you as they arise—curated by your matchmaker. If you and a match choose to continue dating after three dates, you each pay a match release fee to receive contact information. If you remain active in our system beyond 12 months, a small reactivation fee may apply.
What is a match release?
If both individuals express interest in continuing after the third date, we initiate a match release. Each person pays a release fee, after which contact information is shared and you may proceed independently. At this stage, Common Thread steps back and you’re free to date organically, without additional guidance unless requested.
Will I see a pool of members to browse?
No. Common Thread is not a profile feed or dating app. Every introduction is curated and private. You will only be introduced to matches hand-selected for you by your matchmaker.
